The Wildtrak suspension is OK from factory but tends to be jittery, overly stiff and really wants a decent weight in the rear to settle it down. This generally due to the rear end being specified to take a reasonable load as the priority rather than offroading. Upgrading suspension is one of the most common modifications to any 4wd for those intending to head out and enjoy the unsealed world.

We here at PPD have a little bit more of a focus when it comes to suspension and also understand that its one of the best upgrades you can do! Not only for ride quality when you find those ruts or corregations but also for clearance. Clearance is improved on the new generation, but more is always better! With all that in mind, a suspension upgrade is deserving of its own blog post. 21/10 - With the ranger deliveries only just starting in Australia, it is not uncommon for there to be limited choices on the market for some upgrades. This is no different for suspension. The only 'real' choice available to ourselves currently was a full Bilstein B6 kit, paired with Old Man Emu Leafs. |
