The SsangYong Musso, now badged KGM, has become one of Australia's best value dual cab utes. Its 2.2 litre turbo diesel produces solid torque from the factory, but owners who tow, tour or work the ute hard often want more consistent power and better heat management than the standard setup delivers.

Musso Exhaust and Tuning Options
A three inch stainless steel exhaust is usually the first step. Freeing up the restrictive factory system reduces backpressure and exhaust gas temperatures, which helps the 2.2 litre diesel breathe more easily when towing a van or loaded for a trip away.
From there, ECU remapping, an upgraded front mount intercooler, a catch can and a throttle controller all work together. Tuning sharpens response and torque delivery, cooler intake air keeps that extra output sustainable, and a catch can protects the intake from oil and soot build up.
