Great Wall V200 Upgrades
The Great Wall V200 brought a 2.0 litre turbo diesel to the brand's dual cab ute range, giving buyers stronger torque and better fuel economy than the petrol V240. Sold in Australia from 2011, it remains a popular budget ute for trade work, farm duties and weekend touring.
Like most affordable diesels, the V200 responds well to a few targeted upgrades. Improving airflow, sharpening the throttle and sorting the suspension will make the ute more pleasant to drive and far better suited to carrying real loads.
Improve V200 Performance and Driveability
A free flowing stainless steel exhaust reduces backpressure through the factory system and helps keep exhaust gas temperatures in check, which matters on a small capacity diesel that is often loaded or towing near its limit. Mandrel bent pipework and quality mounts keep it quiet and durable.
A throttle controller removes lag from the drive by wire pedal and lets you choose a response setting to suit the job, while an oil catch can keeps blow by oil and soot out of the intake and intercooler piping over the long term.

A suspension lift kit is one of the best value upgrades for the V200, restoring ride height, improving control with weight in the tray and adding clearance for gravel and bush tracks. Roof racks, lights and recovery gear complete most touring setups.
