The factory Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) on the Colorado RG is a well-known failure point. Over time, residual soot from incomplete burns can clog the system, causing loss of power, increased fuel consumption, and expensive repairs. Our full stainless steel Holden Colorado Exhaust upgrade replaces the entire restrictive system — turbo back — delivering improved flow, a deeper note, and long-term reliability.
Common symptoms of a blocked DPF include:
Reduced engine performance
Increased fuel usage
More frequent and prolonged burn cycles
Designed specifically for the 2016+ Holden Colorado 2.8L Turbo Diesel, this PPD Performance Holden Stainless Exhaust system transforms drivability and sound, delivering the performance the factory system never could.
Internally welded turbo dump pipe for maximum flow
1/8 NPT EGT port on dump pipe (for gauge or tuning sensor)
Mandrel bent and TIG welded throughout
2-bolt flanges for simple bolt-on install
Heavy-duty hangers with dual mounting points for added durability
Includes premium Fire Ring gaskets and bolts
This proven design offers significant performance improvements and a deep, sporty exhaust note — making it one of the most effective Holden 4x4 Exhausts available for the Colorado platform.
Note: An ECU remap is required when removing the DPF. The sensors are not reinserted into this system and must be deactivated in your tune.
Disclaimer: DPF delete components are intended for off-road use only. Please consider your legal obligations before purchasing or installing.

Add a tune for even more power:
Tuning is required for any DPF delete. The PPD Performance Remapper provides a custom ECU tune that unleashes serious performance gains when combined with your new Colorado Exhaust.
Our remote tuning solution lets us increase boost and fuel delivery to match your new stainless system — delivering HUGE power gains, especially on turbo diesels.
Due to courier handling limits, this exhaust system will be delivered to your nearest depot unless a commercial address with a forklift is provided during checkout.

At PPD Performance, all of our exhausts proudly feature:
Mandrel Bent Piping
PPD Performance exhausts comprise of mandrel bent, stainless pipe work, delivering uncompromising flow, performance, and sound. Mandrel bending involves placing a mandrel inside the piping, before it is bent to shape. In comparison; cheaper press bending from other manufacturers squashes the tube as it is bent, reducing flow.
304 Grade Stainless Steel
Tired of your mild steel exhaust systems rusting out after a year or less? Time to shop for a stainless steel system? There’s still some things you need to be aware of. Our competitors typically advertise their exhaust products as stainless steel. Most don't stipulate the differences between ferretic 409 grade stainless steel and austenitic 304 stainless steel.
Significant differences exist between the metals that make one better for performance exhaust applications than the other. Let us explain
The corrosion resistance of your 4x4 exhaust depends on the content of chromium and nickel found in the alloy. 409 grade stainless steel is used by many manufactures due to its medium strength, formability and very low cost. Typically, 409 grade stainless steel has a chromium content of between 10.50% - 11.75% and a nickel content of less 0.50%.
Why do we use 304 grade stainless steel piping for 4x4 performance exhausts? Because it is more resistant to rusting than ferretic based stainless steels such as 409. However, because of its low ferrous content, 304 can develop a golden colour when exposed to high heat over time. In fact, the ferrous metal content is so low that magnets won’t stick to it, making the identification of 409 and 304 grade stainless steel very easy.
Put simply, 304 grade stainless is the best value material used in the 4x4 exhaust game when strength, corrosion resistance and performance are at the top of your list of priorities.
Type 304 steel is engineered with chromium and nickel content and proves to be resistant to oxidation, corrosion, and durability.
Together with a polished finish - it is a great choice for your 4x4 offering excellent corrosion resistance from exhaust emissions, moisture and beach exposure.
Bolt on installation
All PPD Performance exhausts are designed to follow the same orientation and layout as the factory exhaust, making for easy bolt on installations. Our systems utilise the standard hanger locations, which means you don't have to use anything other than the factory rubbers.
