3" Stainless Steel Turbo-Back Exhaust – Holden Colorado RC 3.0L Turbo Diesel (2012)

Upgrade the restrictive factory system with a PPD Performance 3" stainless turbo-back exhaust built specifically for the Holden Colorado RC.

This system is designed for the 2012 Holden Colorado RC Ute and delivers major improvements in power, flow, and sound. Built from 304-grade stainless steel, this high-quality Holden Colorado Exhaust resists rust, especially in harsh environments.

Get rid of the weak factory exhaust and enjoy a deep, sporty tone while unlocking the performance the RC Colorado should have had from the start. This system rivals other Holden Exhaust Systems that cost 2–3 times more.

    Turboback Specifications:

    • 3" 304-grade stainless steel tubing (1.5mm thick)
    • 1/8 NPT EGT port included on the dump pipe
    • Internally welded dump pipe for unrestricted flow
    • Mandrel bent and TIG welded throughout
    • 2-bolt and slip-joint flanges for bolt-on fitment
    • Includes Fire Ring gaskets and high-temp bolts
    • Dual mounting point hangers for added strength

This design has been tested and proven to offer real performance gains and long-term reliability on the RC Colorado Ute.

PLEASE NOTE: Some 2010–2011 Series 2 RC Colorados may use torsion bar suspension from Series 1. If your vehicle has a torsion bar, the dump pipe may need pressing for additional clearance.

At PPD Performance, all of our exhausts proudly feature:

    Mandrel Bent Piping

PPD Performance exhausts comprise of mandrel bent, stainless pipe work, delivering uncompromising flow, performance, and sound. Mandrel bending involves placing a mandrel inside the piping, before it is bent to shape. In comparison; cheaper press bending from other manufacturers squashes the tube as it is bent, reducing flow.

    304 Grade Stainless Steel

Tired of your mild steel exhaust systems rusting out after a year or less? Time to shop for a stainless steel system? There’s still some things you need to be aware of. Our competitors typically advertise their exhaust products as stainless steel. Most don't stipulate the differences between ferretic 409 grade stainless steel and austenitic 304 stainless steel.

Significant differences exist between the metals that make one better for performance exhaust applications than the other. Let us explain

The corrosion resistance of your 4x4 exhaust depends on the content of chromium and nickel found in the alloy. 409 grade stainless steel is used by many manufactures due to its medium strength, formability and very low cost. Typically, 409 grade stainless steel has a chromium content of between 10.50% - 11.75% and a nickel content of less 0.50%.

Why do we use 304 grade stainless steel piping for 4x4 performance exhausts? Because it is more resistant to rusting than ferretic based stainless steels such as 409. However, because of its low ferrous content, 304 can develop a golden colour when exposed to high heat over time. In fact, the ferrous metal content is so low that magnets won’t stick to it, making the identification of 409 and 304 grade stainless steel very easy.

Put simply, 304 grade stainless is the best value material used in the 4x4 exhaust game when strength, corrosion resistance and performance are at the top of your list of priorities.

Type 304 steel is engineered with chromium and nickel content and proves to be resistant to oxidation, corrosion, and durability.

Together with a polished finish - it is a great choice for your 4x4 offering excellent corrosion resistance from exhaust emissions, moisture and beach exposure.

    Bolt on installation

All PPD Performance exhausts are designed to follow the same orientation and layout as the factory exhaust, making for easy bolt on installations. Our systems utilise the standard hanger locations, which means you don't have to use anything other than the factory rubbers.
