Land Rover Defender (1992-On) 90; 110; 130 Series 1992-On Tough Dog TDC523 Tough Dog Rear Raised Coil Springs
TD-TDC523
Designed and manufactured in Australia using high-quality German X5K spring steel, Tough Dog coils are engineered to optimize performance while utilizing less material. This innovative design ensures superior ride quality and exceptional load carrying capabilities, allowing the spring to retain its original memory even under heavy loads.
The result is a lightweight yet robust coil that can withstand the rigors of demanding conditions. Each coil undergoes a rigorous process, including shot peening to relieve stress, scragging, and load testing to ensure reliability. Formed on precision mandrels and hot formed to maintain spring memory, these coils are built to last.
To enhance durability and aesthetics, Tough Dog coils feature a powder-coated finish that provides excellent corrosion resistance. If your vehicle is equipped with additional accessories, Tough Dog offers a variety of spring rates tailored to accommodate these modifications or constant load carrying.
Constant Load refers to the weight that is permanently added to the vehicle, such as fixed accessories like canopies, steel trays, draw systems, fridges, toolboxes, rear bars, or spare wheel carriers. Selecting the appropriate spring option is crucial for optimizing your vehicle's setup and load carrying performance.
Approximate Lift Heights for Tough Dog coils are as follows: TDC536 for 0-300kg Light Load on the 110 Series, TDC523 for 0-500kg Load on the 130 Series, and TDC522H for 500kg Constant Load on the 130 Series. For best results, it is advisable to pair these raised springs with long travel shock absorbers.
