Built for tough Australian conditions, Roadsafe 4WD CV shafts are a direct-fit replacement across more than 180 popular 4WD applications, with options available for both standard-height and lifted vehicles. Each shaft is supplied as a complete assembly with the required hardware, making installation straightforward and ensuring correct fitment to OEM specifications.

Roadsafe CV shafts use high-torsion steel axle shafts, hardened and precision-machined splines, quality neoprene CV boots with stainless steel clamps, and long-life moly grease. CV joints, races and ball tracks are accurately machined to deliver smooth operation, durability and long service life.

Selected lifted-vehicle applications are modified from the original OE design to maintain correct CV cage alignment as suspension geometry changes, helping improve strength and wear characteristics compared with simply using a standard-height shaft outside its intended operating range.

Technical warning — lifted vehicles

If a CV shaft is for a lifted vehicle, it is designed to be fitted in place of a diff drop, not as well as one.

2–3" lifted vehicles: these are not intended to be used with a diff drop. At this height it should be one or the other — it is rare that a vehicle needs both, so talk to our team before buying or installing.

3–5" lifted vehicles: these can be used with a diff drop, and the two add together for distance and alignment. A 2" diff drop with a 2" lifted CV suits roughly a 4" lift. A 4" diff drop with a 2" lifted CV would not suit a 4" lift — that combination totals 6". If in doubt, contact our team.

Not following the above can result in exploded CVs, which is not covered under warranty.

Warranty notice: when CV shafts are installed on a vehicle with a lifted ride height, the manufacturer does not offer any warranty.
