Superior Front Shock Mount Trimming Template suitable for Nissan Patrol GQ and GU with Gen 2 Shock Towers is designed to provide an accurate guide when modifying front shock mounts to suit larger 2.5 shock bodies; manufactured from mild steel and finished in SA5 zinc. This template helps achieve consistent, accurate results when trimming shock towers for high-performance suspension setups.
When upgrading to larger 2.5 shock bodies, the factory shock tower often doesn’t provide enough clearance. Without trimming, the shock can contact the tower, leading to damage, restricted movement, or poor performance. Trying to modify the mount freehand can result in uneven cuts or removing too much material.
This trimming template is designed specifically to suit 2.5 shocks, giving you a clear and accurate guide for where material needs to be removed. It helps ensure both sides are cut evenly, maintaining proper alignment and allowing the shock to cycle freely without interference.
Designed to line up with the factory mount, it takes the guesswork out of the process and delivers a cleaner, more professional result whether you’re working in the shed or doing installs regularly.
