Product Info
Superior Shock Tower Lift Kits are designed to provide additional clearance for larger 2.0 and 2.5 remote reservoir shock absorbers while allowing the fitment of longer shocks for increased suspension travel on Nissan Patrol GU models. Manufactured to suit serious off-road and competition-style suspension setups, these towers are available in multiple height options to suit a wide range of builds.
As suspension travel increases, the factory front shock towers quickly become a limiting factor. Larger diameter shock bodies and longer travel shocks often require additional clearance to prevent interference with the inner guard while allowing the suspension to achieve its full potential. The Superior Shock Tower Lift Kit reposition the upper shock mount to provide the clearance required for both 2.0 and 2.5 remote reservoir shocks, and the taller tower options also allow longer shock absorbers to be fitted, increasing available wheel travel and helping maximise suspension performance. They are the ideal complement to long-travel suspension systems, particularly when running Superior Super Flex Radius Arms or similar high-articulation setups.
Each kit is supplied complete with the required mounting hardware for installation and is available in multiple height options to suit your suspension requirements.
Tower Height Options:
Key Benefits
Whether you're building a capable tourer or a dedicated off-road Patrol, the Superior Shock Tower Lift Kit allows you to take full advantage of larger shock absorbers and increased suspension travel, giving your suspension the clearance it needs to perform at its best.
Important Notes
Every Patrol is slightly different. GQ and GU models have different chassis-to-body relationships, different inner guard profiles, and different factory shock tower heights. Even between GU models, body position can vary due to age and the condition of the body mount rubbers. As many early GU Patrols are now approaching 30 years old, worn or sagged body mounts can reduce the available clearance between the chassis and body. For this reason, the amount of trimming required may vary from vehicle to vehicle, even when using the same tower height. Selecting the correct tower height should be based on your shock length, suspension travel, body condition, and intended application.
Superior Engineering offer custom built suspension solutions, with unique adjustability and performance.
