    Product Info

Superior Billet Series Bump Stop Extensions are a direct-fit rear bump stop solution for Nissan Patrol GQ and GU models; designed to restore correct bump stop engagement on lifted vehicles while maintaining factory-style function and durability. Manufactured using a combination of high-quality rubber and 6061-T6 aluminium, these extensions install into the factory bump stop location using the original mounting holes for a straightforward, no-compromise fitment.

When suspension lift height is increased, factory bump stops can engage too late or not at all, placing unnecessary load on shocks, mounts, and chassis components. These bump stop extensions reposition the bump stop to suit modified suspension geometry, helping protect critical components under compression while retaining predictable suspension behaviour.

The rubber bump stop replicates OE Toyota style characteristics to absorb impact progressively, while the billet aluminium extension provides the required spacing and strength without distortion. Coated in a premium anodised black finish, the aluminium offers durability and corrosion resistance suited to harsh off-road conditions.

    Key Benefits

    • CNC machined from Billet 6061-T6 aluminium and anodised black for a premium and reliable finish.
    • The OE Toyota style rubber bump stop prevents harsh bottom-out events without premature wear.
    • Bolts directly into the factory bump stop location using original mounting points.
    • Helps prevent shock bottom-out and excessive chassis impacts on lifted vehicles.

    Important Notes

Supplied as a pair, these rear bump stop extensions are a practical upgrade for lifted Nissan Patrol GQ and GU vehicles, delivering controlled bump stop engagement and added peace of mind both on-road and off-road.

At PPD Performance, all of our exhausts proudly feature:

    Mandrel Bent Piping

PPD Performance exhausts comprise of mandrel bent, stainless pipe work, delivering uncompromising flow, performance, and sound. Mandrel bending involves placing a mandrel inside the piping, before it is bent to shape. In comparison; cheaper press bending from other manufacturers squashes the tube as it is bent, reducing flow.

    304 Grade Stainless Steel

Tired of your mild steel exhaust systems rusting out after a year or less? Time to shop for a stainless steel system? There’s still some things you need to be aware of. Our competitors typically advertise their exhaust products as stainless steel. Most don't stipulate the differences between ferretic 409 grade stainless steel and austenitic 304 stainless steel.

Significant differences exist between the metals that make one better for performance exhaust applications than the other. Let us explain

The corrosion resistance of your 4x4 exhaust depends on the content of chromium and nickel found in the alloy. 409 grade stainless steel is used by many manufactures due to its medium strength, formability and very low cost. Typically, 409 grade stainless steel has a chromium content of between 10.50% - 11.75% and a nickel content of less 0.50%.

Why do we use 304 grade stainless steel piping for 4x4 performance exhausts? Because it is more resistant to rusting than ferretic based stainless steels such as 409. However, because of its low ferrous content, 304 can develop a golden colour when exposed to high heat over time. In fact, the ferrous metal content is so low that magnets won’t stick to it, making the identification of 409 and 304 grade stainless steel very easy.

Put simply, 304 grade stainless is the best value material used in the 4x4 exhaust game when strength, corrosion resistance and performance are at the top of your list of priorities.

Type 304 steel is engineered with chromium and nickel content and proves to be resistant to oxidation, corrosion, and durability.

Together with a polished finish - it is a great choice for your 4x4 offering excellent corrosion resistance from exhaust emissions, moisture and beach exposure.

    Bolt on installation

All PPD Performance exhausts are designed to follow the same orientation and layout as the factory exhaust, making for easy bolt on installations. Our systems utilise the standard hanger locations, which means you don't have to use anything other than the factory rubbers.
