Superior Rear Mudflap Bracket Kit suitable for Nissan Patrol GU Y61 Series 1–3 with OEM flares (12/1997–2005) is designed to provide a secure and tidy mounting solution for rear mudflaps; manufactured from durable aluminium and finished in textured black powdercoat for corrosion resistance and a clean OEM-style appearance. This kit ensures correct mudflap positioning on vehicles retaining factory flares.
Factory rear mudflaps can become compromised or non-compliant over time, particularly on vehicles running larger tyres or modified suspension. This can result in poor wheel coverage, loose fitment, or reduced effectiveness in controlling mud and debris. A purpose-built bracket kit restores correct mounting position, keeping mudflaps secure and functioning as intended while maintaining a clean finish around the rear guards.

The corrosion resistance of your 4x4 exhaust depends on the content of chromium and nickel found in the alloy. 409 grade stainless steel is used by many manufactures due to its medium strength, formability and very low cost. Typically, 409 grade stainless steel has a chromium content of between 10.50% - 11.75% and a nickel content of less 0.50%.
Why do we use 304 grade stainless steel piping for 4x4 performance exhausts? Because it is more resistant to rusting than ferretic based stainless steels such as 409. However, because of its low ferrous content, 304 can develop a golden colour when exposed to high heat over time. In fact, the ferrous metal content is so low that magnets won’t stick to it, making the identification of 409 and 304 grade stainless steel very easy.
Put simply, 304 grade stainless is the best value material used in the 4x4 exhaust game when strength, corrosion resistance and performance are at the top of your list of priorities.
Type 304 steel is engineered with chromium and nickel content and proves to be resistant to oxidation, corrosion, and durability.
Together with a polished finish - it is a great choice for your 4x4 offering excellent corrosion resistance from exhaust emissions, moisture and beach exposure.
