    Electronic Controlled Damping System (ECDS)
Imagine a world where you can adjust your shocks through 100 levels of Compression adjustment from the comfort of the driver's seat. Well with the Superior ECDS Shocks that world is a reality.

Our latest range of adjustable 2.5 shocks comes with an in-cab controller this allows for not only a large range of adjustment of the compression but also 4 levels of fine-tuning of the adjustment with either 5, 16, 64 or 100-stage adjustment.
All these levels offer the same amount of compression adjustment, just with different amounts of fine-tuning.

    Simple Wiring
The wiring of the system is simplified with colour-coded wires for the different shocks.

    Rebound Adjustment
These shocks also feature 6 levels of rebound adjustment via a knob on the leg of the shock (not in-cab adjustable)

    Heat Treated Alloy Steel Piston
Features race-inspired port configurations and variable rate shim stack technology to provide vehicle-specific damping performance and optimum ride quality. A composite Teflon wears band offers low internal resistance and high compressive strength enhancing shock performance.

Spherical Rod End Assembly - Strut
High-performance spherical rod end assembly designed for correct clearance and increased strength Suitable For your application. Fitted with Teflon-lined Commercial Grade spherical bearings for smooth articulation and the longest life.

    Remote Reservoir Canister
Remote Reservoir Canister for increased oil volume, and greater cooling capacity. Internal Floating Piston separates the shock Oil and Nitrogen eliminating Foaming or mixing of the oil and gas that produces shock fade.

    Highest Quality Materials
CR3+ plated Bored and Honed cylinder tubes, Aircraft quality billet aluminium components, High-pressure hydraulic hose, and seals. Plus the 22mm Hard-chromed shafts are designed for maximum strength and durability in lifted and performance applications.

    Fully Rebuildable For Longevity
These Superior Electric (ECDS) Remote Reservoir Shocks are fully Rebuildable, Serviceable, and Upgradeable. All parts are carried in stock and allow the user to finely-tune, adjust, and service their shocks, ensuring you get the longest life possible from your suspension.

    5-100 Stage Compression Adjustment

Our latest range of adjustable 2.5 shocks now includes an in-cab controller, offering unparalleled control and customization. This controller allows users to adjust the compression across a wide range, providing the flexibility needed for various driving conditions. In addition, the system offers four levels of fine-tuning, with 5, 16, 64, or 100-stage adjustments. Each level provides the same range of compression adjustment, but with varying degrees of precision, enabling you to choose how much fine-tuning control you prefer. Whether you're looking for quick adjustments or precise tweaks, this system ensures optimal performance and a smoother ride.

    Superior Engineering ECDS Shocks

    6-Stage Rebound Adjustment

The 6-Stage Rebound Adjuster on the leg of the shock allows you to precisely control rebound from soft to firm with a simple twist of a knob. This feature enables you to fine tune the shock for rough terrain or carrying a load. (not in-cab adjustable)

    Superior Engineering ECDS Shocks

    60mm Piston

Our Superior 2.5 ECDS Shocks feature race-inspired port configurations and variable rate shim stack technology, delivering vehicle-specific damping performance and optimum ride quality. The robust 60mm Teflon-coated piston, engineered for enhanced durability and smooth operation, works in conjunction with a composite Teflon wear band that offers low internal resistance and high compressive strength. Additionally, the sophisticated velocity sensing valve stack automatically adjusts to changing driving conditions, ensuring superior ride quality and improved handling.

    Superior Engineering ECDS Shocks

    Remote Reservoir Design

The remote reservoir canister increases oil volume and enhances cooling capacity. The internal floating piston separates the shock oil and nitrogen, preventing foaming or mixing of the oil and gas, which eliminates shock fade.

    Superior Engineering ECDS Shocks

    Shock Shaft

The 22mm steel shaft features a super-polish, chromium-plated finish, specifically engineered for long-lasting durability and resistance to corrosion. This ensures optimal performance and an extended lifespan even under demanding conditions.

WARNING: This shock absorber contains pressurised gas. Do not open, puncture, cut, heat, weld near or try to take the shock apart. Releasing the gas pressure the wrong way can cause serious injury. Servicing should only be done by a qualified shock technician with the correct equipment.

    Shock Servicing

Regular servicing keeps your shocks damping the way they should and helps them last longer, especially after heavy touring, corrugations or long periods off-road. Superior Engineering offers shock servicing through our workshop. To find out what's involved and to book a service, visit our Shock Servicing page.

At PPD Performance, all of our exhausts proudly feature:

    Mandrel Bent Piping

PPD Performance exhausts comprise of mandrel bent, stainless pipe work, delivering uncompromising flow, performance, and sound. Mandrel bending involves placing a mandrel inside the piping, before it is bent to shape. In comparison; cheaper press bending from other manufacturers squashes the tube as it is bent, reducing flow.

    304 Grade Stainless Steel

Tired of your mild steel exhaust systems rusting out after a year or less? Time to shop for a stainless steel system? There’s still some things you need to be aware of. Our competitors typically advertise their exhaust products as stainless steel. Most don't stipulate the differences between ferretic 409 grade stainless steel and austenitic 304 stainless steel.

Significant differences exist between the metals that make one better for performance exhaust applications than the other. Let us explain

The corrosion resistance of your 4x4 exhaust depends on the content of chromium and nickel found in the alloy. 409 grade stainless steel is used by many manufactures due to its medium strength, formability and very low cost. Typically, 409 grade stainless steel has a chromium content of between 10.50% - 11.75% and a nickel content of less 0.50%.

Why do we use 304 grade stainless steel piping for 4x4 performance exhausts? Because it is more resistant to rusting than ferretic based stainless steels such as 409. However, because of its low ferrous content, 304 can develop a golden colour when exposed to high heat over time. In fact, the ferrous metal content is so low that magnets won’t stick to it, making the identification of 409 and 304 grade stainless steel very easy.

Put simply, 304 grade stainless is the best value material used in the 4x4 exhaust game when strength, corrosion resistance and performance are at the top of your list of priorities.

Type 304 steel is engineered with chromium and nickel content and proves to be resistant to oxidation, corrosion, and durability.

Together with a polished finish - it is a great choice for your 4x4 offering excellent corrosion resistance from exhaust emissions, moisture and beach exposure.

    Bolt on installation

All PPD Performance exhausts are designed to follow the same orientation and layout as the factory exhaust, making for easy bolt on installations. Our systems utilise the standard hanger locations, which means you don't have to use anything other than the factory rubbers.
