Nissan Patrol GU (2000-2010) Wagon Petrol 4.8ltr Superior Hybrid Radius Arms With Drop Box Suitable For Nissan Patrol GQ/GU (Gen 2) 6 Inch (150mm) Castor Correction available on AfterPay. We deliver Australia-wide! – Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth.
The Problem with the standard Nissan radius arm design is that the rear pin style mounting puts a lot of load on the mushroom bushes when the arms flex down.
And this is the main cause of premature failure of the bushes.
The difference between our new design arms over the standard Nissan radius arm is the use of a Toyota-style rear bush.
This change allows increased life from the rear bush when flexing the arms up off-road, by allowing the arm to flex down without the binding found in the pin-style design.
With the arms, we supply the mounting drop boxes that are a straight bolt-in design requiring no cutting and all bolts needed for mounting.
We also supply fitting instructions and all the bushes are pressed into the arms so you don’t have to.
With these arms, you will get the drivability you need and longer life from your bushes. Why not have extra flex as well as good on-road handling?
If you want to push the diff forward to straighten up your coils we offer the Hybrid Radius Arm Spacers.
Approved for on-road use under NCOP for GQ and GU Patrols(non-ESC) once inspected by an approved person
NOTE: To fit Sway Bar Mounts you will require 85mm sway bar mounts and bushes. If you do not have sway bar mounts or you have 75mm mounts you can purchase the required ones below. 85mm Sway Bar Mount Sway Bar Bushes to suit 85mm Mounts
Fig. 1 shows the Superior Arm deflecting only 4.1mm under load with real-world load points. Fig. 2 shows the Competitor's Arm deflecting 24.91mm under the same load points and loads, almost the same as the width of the Arm itself.
Also of note is the Competitor's Arm deflected to a point that may cause metal fatigue over time, which may lead to total failure.
Manufactured from High Tensile Bisalloy 80/Strenx700 Plate
High Tensile Bar Bush Eyes
Massive 32mm main Beam thickness for maximum strength
Rubber Bushes pre-fitted into arms
Laser-cut to precise measurement and caster location
Authentic Superior Engineering Logo machined into the side of Arms
Factory Sway bar will fit to allow safe on-road handling (see important note)
Factory ABS lines will bolt-on. (See important note)
RADIUS ARMS are manufactured Suitable For various lifts
Sandblasted with rust prevention applied
Powder Coated for maximum durability and finish
High Tensile Bisalloy 80/Strenx700 Plate will not crack unlike Cast Radius Arms (See example below)
Sway Bar Adapter plate bracket and bolts have a SA5 Zinc coating for rust prevention
Allows vehicle to track correctly on road due to correct caster
Maximum Clearance between the Tie Rod and the Radius Arms
Factory bushes fit the RADIUS ARMS; we don’t use special sizes Bushes
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Superior Engineering Radius Arms now come drilled to suit 85mm sway bar saddles and ABS lines.
NOTE: Please check ABS sensor lines(if fitted) are free to move through the full range of travel.
Factory bump stops may need to be extended depending on the coils and shock combination used.
Due to the huge variances in different weights of vehicles/heights variances and suspension combinations in
vehicles it is highly recommended to move your suspension in the full range of the
shock absorber compression/rebound travel and also taking into consideration coil bind,
check all areas for clearance issues, if you require more assistance in this talk to one of our sales team for further advice.
Cast radius arms are more vulnerable to breaking, leaving your vehicle undrivable and you stranded.
In the event of a major crash or major impact Superior Engineering Radius arms may bend but will never crack and fail
Below is a video of Nissan Patrol GU passing an LT2 Lane Change Test with ease, this test shows the Patrol passing the test loaded to GVM at 110km/h.
Proof that Superior Engineering Superflex and Radius Arms can still handle when on-road as well as the added flex off-road.
Below is a comparison chart showing different forms of Castor correction and how they compare in Cost, Flex, Handling and Offroad Ability.

At PPD Performance, all of our exhausts proudly feature:
Mandrel Bent Piping
PPD Performance exhausts comprise of mandrel bent, stainless pipe work, delivering uncompromising flow, performance, and sound. Mandrel bending involves placing a mandrel inside the piping, before it is bent to shape. In comparison; cheaper press bending from other manufacturers squashes the tube as it is bent, reducing flow.
304 Grade Stainless Steel
Tired of your mild steel exhaust systems rusting out after a year or less? Time to shop for a stainless steel system? There’s still some things you need to be aware of. Our competitors typically advertise their exhaust products as stainless steel. Most don't stipulate the differences between ferretic 409 grade stainless steel and austenitic 304 stainless steel.
Significant differences exist between the metals that make one better for performance exhaust applications than the other. Let us explain
The corrosion resistance of your 4x4 exhaust depends on the content of chromium and nickel found in the alloy. 409 grade stainless steel is used by many manufactures due to its medium strength, formability and very low cost. Typically, 409 grade stainless steel has a chromium content of between 10.50% - 11.75% and a nickel content of less 0.50%.
Why do we use 304 grade stainless steel piping for 4x4 performance exhausts? Because it is more resistant to rusting than ferretic based stainless steels such as 409. However, because of its low ferrous content, 304 can develop a golden colour when exposed to high heat over time. In fact, the ferrous metal content is so low that magnets won’t stick to it, making the identification of 409 and 304 grade stainless steel very easy.
Put simply, 304 grade stainless is the best value material used in the 4x4 exhaust game when strength, corrosion resistance and performance are at the top of your list of priorities.
Type 304 steel is engineered with chromium and nickel content and proves to be resistant to oxidation, corrosion, and durability.
Together with a polished finish - it is a great choice for your 4x4 offering excellent corrosion resistance from exhaust emissions, moisture and beach exposure.
Bolt on installation
All PPD Performance exhausts are designed to follow the same orientation and layout as the factory exhaust, making for easy bolt on installations. Our systems utilise the standard hanger locations, which means you don't have to use anything other than the factory rubbers.
