The Superior 100% Bolt-On Coil Tower Brace is suitable for Nissan Patrol GQ and GU Wagons and is specifically developed to reinforce the rear coil towers without the need for body lift modifications. Designed for vehicles that see hard off-road use, heavy touring loads, or towing, this brace provides critical structural support where factory coil towers are most vulnerable to flex and fatigue.
GQ and GU Patrols are often pushed well beyond their original design limits. Increased suspension loads, larger tyres, and added vehicle weight can place significant stress on the rear coil towers, increasing the risk of bending or, in severe cases, cracking and tearing. This bolt-on coil tower brace strengthens the area by tying the towers to multiple points on the chassis, helping distribute loads more evenly and reducing the chance of long-term structural damage, all while retaining standard body height.
This kit is a true bolt-on solution, requiring no body lift and no cutting or welding. Supplied as a complete kit with all required hardware, it delivers a straightforward installation and a strong, reliable result. Manufactured from 350 grade mild steel and finished with an SA5 zinc coating, it is built to withstand harsh off-road conditions and long-term exposure to the elements.

The corrosion resistance of your 4x4 exhaust depends on the content of chromium and nickel found in the alloy. 409 grade stainless steel is used by many manufactures due to its medium strength, formability and very low cost. Typically, 409 grade stainless steel has a chromium content of between 10.50% - 11.75% and a nickel content of less 0.50%.
Why do we use 304 grade stainless steel piping for 4x4 performance exhausts? Because it is more resistant to rusting than ferretic based stainless steels such as 409. However, because of its low ferrous content, 304 can develop a golden colour when exposed to high heat over time. In fact, the ferrous metal content is so low that magnets won’t stick to it, making the identification of 409 and 304 grade stainless steel very easy.
Put simply, 304 grade stainless is the best value material used in the 4x4 exhaust game when strength, corrosion resistance and performance are at the top of your list of priorities.
Type 304 steel is engineered with chromium and nickel content and proves to be resistant to oxidation, corrosion, and durability.
Together with a polished finish - it is a great choice for your 4x4 offering excellent corrosion resistance from exhaust emissions, moisture and beach exposure.
