Superior Gen 2 40mm Diff Drop Kit is designed for Toyota Hilux models from 2005 to 2025 with either 2-bolt or 4-bolt front differential housings; providing a 40mm differential drop to help correct front driveline geometry on lifted vehicles. Built specifically for lifted Hilux applications, this kit helps reduce CV operating angles and take some of the additional stress out of the front driveline.
Lifting a Hilux changes the relationship between the front differential, CV shafts and suspension. As the suspension is raised, the differential remains mounted to the chassis while the CVs operate at a steeper angle. The higher the lift and the more suspension travel you have, the more noticeable this change can become.
A 40mm diff drop lowers the front differential assembly, bringing the CV shafts closer to their original operating angle. This helps reduce the working angle of the CV joints and can reduce stress on CVs and boots, particularly when the vehicle is regularly driven off-road or reaches full suspension droop.

Important Notes
A diff drop is one part of correctly setting up a lifted Hilux. Suspension lift height, CV angle, shock length and available suspension travel all need to be considered together. Extended-travel shocks can increase coil bind at full droop, so the complete suspension setup should be checked to ensure adequate clearance and correct component operation.
