Standard features include military wrap across all part numbers, accurate heat treatment, and construction from high-grade spring steel. Many applications also include anti-friction pads to enhance performance. The springs are pre-stressed to maintain ride height and are rigorously load rate tested to ensure reliability.

For vehicles equipped with additional accessories, Tough Dog offers various spring rates to accommodate constant load scenarios. Approximate lift heights range from 40-50mm, with specific ratings as follows: T80C for 0-300kg light load, T80L for 300kg constant load, and T80LL for 500kg constant load.

It is advisable to pair raised springs with long travel shock absorbers to optimize performance. Constant load refers to weight that is permanently added to the vehicle, such as fixed accessories like canopies, steel trays, draw systems, fridges, toolboxes, rear bars, or spare wheel carriers. Selecting the appropriate spring rate is crucial for achieving the best balance of load carrying capacity, ride quality, and ride height.
