Engineered in Australia, Tough Dog progressive rate leaf springs incorporate a sophisticated design featuring both primary and secondary stage leaves. As the spring compresses, the secondary stage engages, effectively mitigating excessive sag and enhancing overall performance.

The manufacturing process of these leaf springs is meticulously executed to guarantee maximum durability, corrosion resistance, and sag prevention. Tough Dog provides a selection of up to three spring rate options for most applications, allowing for tailored solutions that best fit your vehicle's specific setup.

Each spring is precision mandrel and die-formed, oil quenched, hardened, and tempered to ensure longevity and resilience. A military wrap is standard across all part numbers, and the springs are accurately heat-treated to optimize performance. Constructed from high-grade spring steel, these leaf springs also feature anti-friction pads in most applications, and are pre-stressed to maintain optimal ride height.

For those with additional accessories fitted to their vehicles, Tough Dog offers various spring rates to accommodate constant load carrying. The approximate lift heights and load capacities are as follows: T81C for 0-300kg light load, T81L for 300kg constant load, T81LL for 500kg constant load, and T81XHD for 800kg constant load.

It is advisable to pair these raised springs with long travel shock absorbers for enhanced performance. For the 500kg and 800kg constant load leaf springs, the use of UB800B x4 U-Bolts is recommended. Constant load refers to weight that is permanently added to the vehicle, such as fixed accessories like canopies, steel trays, draw systems, fridges, toolboxes, rear bars, or spare wheel carriers.
