Engineered in Australia, Tough Dog progressive rate leaf springs incorporate a sophisticated design featuring both primary and secondary stage leaves. As the spring compresses, the secondary stage engages to mitigate excessive sag, thereby enhancing overall performance.

The manufacturing process of these leaf springs is meticulously executed to guarantee maximum durability, corrosion resistance, and sag prevention. Tough Dog provides a selection of up to three spring rate options for most applications, allowing for tailored solutions that best fit your vehicle's specific setup.

Each spring is precision mandrel and die-formed, oil quenched, hardened, and tempered to ensure longevity. A military wrap is standard across all part numbers, and the springs are accurately heat-treated to enhance their performance characteristics. Constructed from high-grade spring steel, these leaf springs also feature anti-friction pads in most applications, and are pre-stressed to maintain optimal ride height.

For those with additional accessories fitted to their vehicles, Tough Dog offers various spring rates to accommodate constant load carrying. This includes fixed accessories such as canopies, steel trays, draw systems, fridges, toolboxes, rear bars, or spare wheel carriers, which are all considered constant loads.

Approximate raised height for the Tough Dog leaf springs is between 40-50mm, with specific models such as the 45 Series featuring a 30mm eye (BP-014) designed for up to a steel bar, and the BP-014H variant for steel bar and winch applications. The 47 Series with a 35mm eye (BP-016) is also available for similar configurations.

It is highly recommended to pair these raised springs with long travel shock absorbers to optimize performance. Selecting the appropriate spring rate is crucial for achieving the best results in load carrying, ride quality, and maintaining the desired ride height.
