These leaf springs are precision mandrel and die-formed, oil quenched, hardened, and tempered to guarantee longevity. A military wrap is standard across all part numbers, ensuring added strength and reliability. Each spring is accurately heat-treated and constructed from high-grade spring steel, with anti-friction pads included in most applications to reduce wear.

Pre-stressing the springs helps maintain optimal ride height, while diamond cut ends enhance performance. Load rate testing is conducted to ensure each spring meets rigorous standards. If your vehicle is equipped with additional accessories, Tough Dog provides various spring rates to accommodate constant load carrying.

Approximate raised height for the following series is as follows: 40-50mm for the 45 Series with a 30mm Eye (BP-014 - suitable for up to Steel Bar; BP-014H - for Steel Bar and Winch) and 47 Series with a 35mm Eye (BP-016 - suitable for up to Steel Bar; BP-016H - for Steel Bar and Winch). It is advisable to pair raised springs with long travel shock absorbers for optimal performance.

Constant Load refers to weight that is permanently added to the vehicle, such as fixed accessories like canopies, steel trays, draw systems, fridges, toolboxes, rear bars, or spare wheel carriers. Selecting the appropriate spring rate is crucial for achieving the best results in load carrying capacity, ride quality, and ride height.
