Superior Engineering Leaf Sprung Track Corrected Diamond Diff Housings are manufactured 100mm wider than your OE Diff Housing to bring the rear wheel track out parallel with the front diff in your 2007 to Current VDJ70 Series Landcruiser; including 76 Series Wagons, 78 Series Troop Carriers and 79 Series Single & Dual Cabs.

Building the strongest track-corrected diff housing on the market begins at the centre, with our unique 6mm thick/830mpa Chromoly wide-diamond centre section, which includes an additional 4mm welded armour plate that wraps from the back to the bottom of the housing.
Superiors Diff Centre Section is designed to accommodate your OEM diff centre, in both Locked or Un-locked variants, and boasts additional internal gussets to help hold the 90mm OD/13.5mm Thick Axle Tubes in place. The use of our 90mm Axle Tubes enhances the housing’s resistance to bending from loads or impacts.
Our large diameter/heavy wall axle tube, integrated into our wide diamond centre with additional internal gussets negates the need for any further external bracing..
This perfect combination is the basis for an incredibly strong diff housing that requires no additional external bracing for its strength, giving you a diff housing that is not only strong but with more ground clearance than our competitors.
Continuing the strength theme, Superior Engineering utilises 4140 Chromoly spindles at each end of the axle tubes, which have been designed with serviceability in mind and are 100% compatible with your OEM/Factory Supplied brakes & wheel bearings.
Brand New Toyota Genuine Diff Studs & Toyota Genuine Axle Seals are also compatible and supplied with the housing at no additional charge.

“Will this housing suit my VDJ70 Series Landcruiser?”
Yes - Superior Engineering Track Corrected Chromoly Diamond Diff Housings are available for all VDJ70 Series Models including the 76 Series Wagons, 78 Series Troop Carriers and 79 Series Single & Dual Cabs from 2007 – Current, including all NON-VSC and VSC models.
“What is the benefit of fitting a Track Corrected Housing to the rear of my VDJ70 Series Landcruiser?”
From the factory, all VDJ70 Series Models (2007 to Current) have a significant track difference from front to rear, with the rear housing being 100mm narrower than the front. On the road, this track difference is not overly noticeable, but on soft/loose surfaces and in sand, this difference becomes more noticeable as the rear fights to stay in the wheel tracks cut by the front. By fitting a Superior Engineering Track Corrected Chromoly Diamond Diff Housing you are ensuring better vehicle stability and safer handling when Off-Road in your Landcruiser.
“Can I install this diff myself?”
Absolutely. Superior Engineering Track Corrected Chromoly Diamond Diff Housings can be installed by any individual with sound mechanical knowledge, and self-installation will not have an impact on having the modification approved. As part of your purchase, Superior Engineering will supply your vehicle certifier with the required LB2 documentation to approve legally the vehicle modification in your State or Territory once the housing has been installed.
“How long does installation take?”
Assuming none of your OE items needs to be replaced (Wheel Bearings, Brakes etc.) an installer with sound mechanical knowledge should be able to install this housing in 6-8 hours.
“Do you offer custom colour options?”
Superior Engineering offers the Track Corrected Chromoly Diamond Diff Housing in Black Powder Coat as standard but does offer a range of other colour options. Please contact our sales team for more information.
“I have an existing GVM Upgrade – Will this housing affect my compliance?”
No – The Superior Diff Housing features the industry’s highest 70 Series axle load rating at 3,150kg. This far exceeds the axle load requirements for all 4x4 LC70 GVM Upgrades on the market. Superior Engineering will supply your vehicle certifier with the required LB2 documentation required to approve legally the vehicle modification in your State or Territory.
“How do I go about engineering my diff housing upgrade?”
Once installed, your vehicle will require an engineering inspection and certification in your State or Territory. You will need to employ the services of a local Engineer or Vehicle Certifier, who will undertake the inspection of your vehicle on your behalf. Superior Engineering will supply the required LB2 documentation directly to your vehicle certifier who will then approve the modification.
“Will my insurance company void my policy with this diff housing installed?”
Insurance on your vehicle should not be an issue provided you have the installation/modification approved by an Engineer or vehicle certifier. Once the change has been legally approved, and the details of the modification lodged with your State Government transport authority, we recommend contacting your insurer to update your policy details.
“Being a custom housing, are parts hard to source?”
No - The Superior Engineering Track Corrected Chromoly Diamond Diff Housings has been designed with serviceability in mind and maintains the use of as many OEM components as possible including the Diff Centre, Brakes, Seals, Wheel Bearings and Hubs. Replacements of these components can be easily sourced from your local Toyota Dealer or an Automotive Parts store.

FITTING NOTES
Installation of the Superior Engineering Leaf Sprung Track Corrected Diamond Diff Housing is relatively simple and should only take a competent installer 6-8 Hours pending the condition/serviceability of your vehicle. Using your vehicle workshop manual remove the factory housing as instructed and replace it with the new Superior Engineering housing. The supplied 300M axles and drive plates replace the original axle assemblies. You will retain your factory diff centre (locked or unlocked) and all your factory brake assemblies.

PPD Performance exhausts comprise of mandrel bent, stainless pipe work, delivering uncompromising flow, performance, and sound. Mandrel bending involves placing a mandrel inside the piping, before it is bent to shape. In comparison; cheaper press bending from other manufacturers squashes the tube as it is bent, reducing flow.

Our competitors typically advertise their exhaust products as stainless steel. Most don't stipulate the differences between ferretic 409 grade stainless steel and austenitic 304 stainless steel.
Significant differences exist between the metals that make one better for performance exhaust applications than the other. Let us explain
The corrosion resistance of your 4x4 exhaust depends on the content of chromium and nickel found in the alloy. 409 grade stainless steel is used by many manufactures due to its medium strength, formability and very low cost. Typically, 409 grade stainless steel has a chromium content of between 10.50% - 11.75% and a nickel content of less 0.50%.
Why do we use 304 grade stainless steel piping for 4x4 performance exhausts? Because it is more resistant to rusting than ferretic based stainless steels such as 409. However, because of its low ferrous content, 304 can develop a golden colour when exposed to high heat over time. In fact, the ferrous metal content is so low that magnets won’t stick to it, making the identification of 409 and 304 grade stainless steel very easy.
Put simply, 304 grade stainless is the best value material used in the 4x4 exhaust game when strength, corrosion resistance and performance are at the top of your list of priorities.
Type 304 steel is engineered with chromium and nickel content and proves to be resistant to oxidation, corrosion, and durability.
Together with a polished finish - it is a great choice for your 4x4 offering excellent corrosion resistance from exhaust emissions, moisture and beach exposure.
All PPD Performance exhausts are designed to follow the same orientation and layout as the factory exhaust, making for easy bolt on installations. Our systems utilise the standard hanger locations, which means you don't have to use anything other than the factory rubbers.
