3" Stainless Steel Turbo Back Performance Exhaust Upgrade for 2016+ Ford Ranger Ute

The Ford Ranger PX2 & PX3 3.2L Turbo Diesel (Oct 2016 onwards) features an active DPF system, which is known to restrict performance and commonly fails due to soot buildup after burn cycles.

Common symptoms of DPF failure include increased fuel consumption, sluggish performance, and frequent regenerations.

Upgrade your Ranger with this full 3" stainless steel PPD Performance turbo-back system — designed to remove the DPF and unlock power and sound that should’ve come from the factory.

This DIY bolt-on system is engineered specifically for the 2016+ Ford Ranger PX2/PX3 3.2L and provides maximum airflow, durability, and a deep performance tone.

    DPF Delete Turbo-back Specifications:

    • 304-grade, polished stainless steel piping and components
    • Coated steel flanges and bungs for corrosion resistance
    • Straight-through design for optimal exhaust flow
    • 2-bolt flange connections for easy installation
    • TIG welded and mandrel bent
    • Includes gaskets and bolts

This system delivers proven gains in performance and sound for PX2 and PX3 Rangers from Oct 2016 onwards.

Note: A custom ECU remap is strongly recommended when removing your DPF for correct operation and performance.

Disclaimer: DPF delete components are intended for off-road use only. Confirm compliance with local laws before purchase.

    Do I have a DPF?

If you see blue and green wires at the front of your exhaust, you have a DPF:

If you see a catalytic converter only, it looks like this:

At PPD Performance, all of our exhausts proudly feature:

    Mandrel Bent Piping

PPD Performance exhausts comprise of mandrel bent, stainless pipe work, delivering uncompromising flow, performance, and sound. Mandrel bending involves placing a mandrel inside the piping, before it is bent to shape. In comparison; cheaper press bending from other manufacturers squashes the tube as it is bent, reducing flow.

    304 Grade Stainless Steel

Tired of your mild steel exhaust systems rusting out after a year or less? Time to shop for a stainless steel system? There’s still some things you need to be aware of. Our competitors typically advertise their exhaust products as stainless steel. Most don't stipulate the differences between ferretic 409 grade stainless steel and austenitic 304 stainless steel.

Significant differences exist between the metals that make one better for performance exhaust applications than the other. Let us explain

The corrosion resistance of your 4x4 exhaust depends on the content of chromium and nickel found in the alloy. 409 grade stainless steel is used by many manufactures due to its medium strength, formability and very low cost. Typically, 409 grade stainless steel has a chromium content of between 10.50% - 11.75% and a nickel content of less 0.50%.

Why do we use 304 grade stainless steel piping for 4x4 performance exhausts? Because it is more resistant to rusting than ferretic based stainless steels such as 409. However, because of its low ferrous content, 304 can develop a golden colour when exposed to high heat over time. In fact, the ferrous metal content is so low that magnets won’t stick to it, making the identification of 409 and 304 grade stainless steel very easy.

Put simply, 304 grade stainless is the best value material used in the 4x4 exhaust game when strength, corrosion resistance and performance are at the top of your list of priorities.

Type 304 steel is engineered with chromium and nickel content and proves to be resistant to oxidation, corrosion, and durability.

Together with a polished finish - it is a great choice for your 4x4 offering excellent corrosion resistance from exhaust emissions, moisture and beach exposure.

    Bolt on installation

All PPD Performance exhausts are designed to follow the same orientation and layout as the factory exhaust, making for easy bolt on installations. Our systems utilise the standard hanger locations, which means you don't have to use anything other than the factory rubbers.
