PPD is a Perth-based 4WD workshop, and the LandCruiser is the truck we work on more than any other. This page is the hub for the lot: 40, 60, 80, 100, 200 and 300 Series, covering suspension, exhausts, side steps, ECU remapping, seat covers, racks and recovery gear. We stock a wide range of aftermarket brands, including Superior Engineering, Tough Dog, CalOffroad and PSR, which means the advice you get from us is impartial, not a pitch for whatever brand pays the best margin.
We fit and install these parts on hoists in our Perth workshop with qualified fitters, and we ship LandCruiser parts Australia-wide. Whether you're rebuilding a 60 Series classic or kitting out a 200 Series tourer, the trick is matching the part to your exact series, engine and load. That's the part we help with most.
Different series, different mounts, different geometry. Land on the right collection for your truck:
The 80 Series is the coil-sprung tourer that started a lot of serious builds. With coils front and rear, it takes a lift cleanly and there's a deep aftermarket behind it. For comfort touring, a 2" lift with matched-rate coils keeps the ride composed while clearing bigger tyres. If you're carrying drawers, a long-range tank and a bar, step up to constant-load rear springs rated to that weight so the back doesn't sag. Browse the full range of 80 Series LandCruiser parts (1990–1998) for suspension, exhausts and accessories matched to the series.
Shopping for Toyota LandCruiser 200 Series parts? The 200 Series is the V8 diesel highway-and-bush tourer, and the build journey usually starts with suspension. A common touring setup with a bar, winch and long-range tank is roughly 50mm front and 20mm rear, running constant-load front coils and rear springs rated to the drawer and tank weight. Typical figures vary by build, and a qualified engineer should confirm the right lift and spring rate for your load. Raised front coils are a popular front lift option. From there, owners add an exhaust and a tune for the 1VD-FTV V8. Browse 200 Series LandCruiser parts (2007–2020) for the full range.
This is the question we field most at the workshop, and the honest answer depends on how you use the truck. Here's where each brand we stock earns its spot:
| Brand | Character | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Tough Dog | Foam Cell and adjustable shocks, firmer ride, strong load capacity, sharp value | Tourers running a full load who accept a firmer unloaded ride. Adjustable options suit owners chasing more off-road tune. |
| CalOffroad | Touring-focused valving, good on-road manners with off-road compliance | Owners who spend most kilometres on the blacktop but want capability when the dirt starts. |
| Superior Engineering | Heavy-duty engineered components, GVM-grade setups | Hardcore and heavily loaded builds where outright strength and load rating matter most. |
| PSR | Broad fitment range, value-driven kits and componentry | Budget-conscious builds and owners after a solid, well-priced setup across common series. |
Short version: if you tour heavy and want firmer support, Tough Dog. If you're mostly on-road and want comfort, CalOffroad. If you're loading to GVM and going hard, Superior Engineering. If you want capable suspension without the top-shelf spend, PSR. Tell us your series, your load and how you drive it, and we'll spec the right kit. We never recommend lift heights or load setups for engineering sign-off, that's a job for a qualified engineer.
Suspension is the foundation, but the build doesn't stop there. The three upgrades LandCruiser owners add next:
Get the order right: intake and suspension first, then exhaust, then tune, so each upgrade builds on a sorted platform.
Single-catalogue sellers list one brand and a buy button. We stock Superior Engineering, Tough Dog, CalOffroad, PSR and more, so we can give you impartial advice on which suits your truck rather than steering you to the only thing we carry. We cover LandCruiser series from the 40 through to the 300, we fit and install in our Perth workshop, and we ship parts Australia-wide. If a part number's fitment is uncertain for your exact series and engine, we'll confirm the right part with you before you order.
The 80 Series is durable but age catches up with them: front axle birfield (CV) wear, rust in the rear quarters and behind the flares, tired factory suspension that sags under accessories, and ageing radiators and hoses. Most are straightforward to address. Worn factory coils and shocks are the most common upgrade we fit, replaced with matched-rate touring or load-rated suspension.
The 1HD-FT and later 1HD-FTE turbo-diesel straight-sixes are the sought-after engines for their torque and long-haul reliability. The 1FZ-FE petrol six is strong but thirsty. For a touring build, the factory turbo-diesel responds well to an exhaust once the basics are sorted; ask our team about tuning options for your engine.
The 200 Series 1VD-FTV V8 diesel is robust, but watch for DPF and EGR issues on lower-kilometre highway cars that don't get a proper run, plus the usual front suspension sag once a bar and winch go on. Matched constant-load front coils fix the sag, and a quality exhaust helps manage exhaust gas temps on loaded touring rigs.
The 2015-onward facelift models are widely preferred: the twin-turbo 1VD-FTV gained power and the interior and safety gear were updated. Earlier 2007–2011 cars are still excellent value and take many of the same suspension upgrades; check each listing's fitment for your year. Whichever year you buy, the build path, suspension, exhaust then tune, is the same.
Yes. We're a Perth workshop and we ship LandCruiser parts across Australia. If you're local we can fit and install on our hoists; if you're interstate we'll confirm the correct part for your exact series and engine and send it out.
